So many paper bags and plastic containers, so much cling wrap and Aluminium foil we use for our daily snacks on the go. What if we had an easy and practical way of avoiding these?
I recently made these lunch bags/snack pouches and I loved their design and practicality so much I thought I had to share it with you guys. These bags will be suitable for most lunches or snacks on the go, from fruit to nuts, cookies, sandwiches and more and are adjustable in their fastening method as well as height and volume capacity. Not to mention they're so easy to make, it would take a novice seamstress as little as 30 min and a maximum of 1 hour.
How's that bargain for you? One hour for a decade of reusable lunch bags...it's an amazing deal.
Not only do these help in reducing our waste by being reusable but I also actually made these bags from discarded fabric pieces I found in the flea market. The inside water resistant lining was part of an outdoor tablecloth piece and the outside fabric I got from what I can guess was a piece of discarded upholstery. How much lower can we go on the environmental impact scale? Not much.
So give it a try and make a few of these for the entire family and you won't regret it I promise. Take them with you when you shop at the bakery and have your edibles put in them, pack your picnic snacks in the when you go to the park and use them on a daily basis for the healthy lunch you pack for work or school.
